Last night was the exciting launch night of the newly named 'Rapha Condor Sharp' cycling team. Sharp are now on board as a main sponsor, and its great to see a brand jump behind such a highly acclaimed and generally cool-as-hell british cycling team. I cant wait to see House rocking the british champ jersey and see them ride aggressively again this season, they made the tour series unmissable in 2009. Heres wishing them success in 2010...

Amazing! Dr J sent me this link, love how he out-diesels everyone!
I found two really cool little articles about Rapha and their brand philosiphy. First up is a little read about their website desing, whilst second is a great Design Council case study on the brand, its formation, values and future. A really interesting read for those fans like myself of the clothing company.

Training4Cyclists has a great 12 week winter training program for download. Perfect for building up fitness for the spring using alternative workouts.
A bit off topic I know, but yesterday i scooped a 'Cookworks Signature Espresso Maker' for a riciculously good £24.99, down from the rrp of £79.99. Perfect for smashing out some pre-ride rocket fuel or a post ride Capuccino (the milk frother is awesome!).
Scoop over at Argos, these sure arent going to last long!

Joe Papp (for those not familiar) has penned a great article over at Cozy Beehive, 'How pro's defeat anti-doping control'. I have a heck of a lot of respect for Joe, to speak out in the way he has is brave and should be commended, but sadly cycling effectively turned its back on him. Educated and enlightening reading..... go take a peek now!
JE James Cycles has a great deal on Specialized's 'Radiant' winter glove, clocking in at a paltry £12. The gloves feature a waterproof liner and also thinsulate. Click the pic to scoop.
After watching so many videos of pro's getting a good old massage, and reading the excellent post over at cyclingtips, last night I went for a sports massage in Hammersmith. Having never been for a deep tissue massage before and suffering from a niggling tight hamstring and calf for about four months now i decided to take a punt on a sports massage after I picked up a card at my local gym.
I emailed Chris at K2 and asked him some newbie questions and he got back to me straight away, informing me that he has worked exstensively with cyclists and runners at a big tri club nearby and that he knew of the problem areas for cyclists.
I had the massage at my gym, the Hammersmith Fitness & Squash Centre, and paid a ridiculously good price of £30 for an hour. Chris has a special promotion he will be running until the summer, basically discounting his usual rates by 50% on account of a lot of his clients being from the banking sector.
I was very relaxed and comfortable and cant speak highly enough of Chris. He worked my quads, hams and calfs hard, and I dont mind admitting I was squealing a bit, but they were so tight I knew it needed to be done. He gave me some stretching and nutrition advice and then shooted the breeze about cycling in general.
After the massage I was a little tender, and riding on my 7 mile commute today I took it fairly easy, but now, 24 hours later my legs are already beginning to feel the benefit.
Overall id really recommend it to anyone who is in London and fancies trying it, because at the discounted rates Chris is doing at the moment its a nice affordable recovery technique to treat yourself to. Details can be found at the website:
